Ruined Arch 01 by Novaminis
Description
The arch still stands — just barely — its keystone cracked, its flanking walls reduced to tumbled ashlar blocks, a threshold to somewhere that no longer exists.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This ruined stone arch is the kind of scatter terrain that does quiet, heavy lifting on your battle map. The sculpt captures the look of a once-grand entrance — dressed stonework, visible mortar lines, and the satisfying asymmetry of genuine collapse — with each side of the wall reduced to staggered rubble at different heights. The arch itself remains intact overhead, which makes it both a striking visual centrepiece and a tactically interesting piece of cover. Whether it marks the entrance to a forgotten keep, a collapsed temple gateway, or the remnants of a city swallowed by forest, this piece earns its place on the table every session.
Four distinct sculpt variations are shown in the product images, each presenting a different angle and degree of collapse — from a relatively balanced ruin to a heavily degraded single-sided archway with jagged stonework at the crown. All four share the same weathered sandstone aesthetic and chunky, characterful blockwork that paints up beautifully with drybrushing and a wash. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is anchoring an encounter on the tabletop.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Want scatter terrain that reads clearly at the table without overwhelming the miniatures
- Are building dungeon, ruin, or wilderness encounters that need a focal point or line-of-sight blocker
- Enjoy painting stonework — this sculpt rewards layering, drybrushing, and moss or stain effects
- Collect display-quality terrain alongside their miniature range
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks the fleeing cultist through the overgrown ruins — and loses sight of him the moment he ducks through the crumbling arch. Something waits on the other side. The rogue's darkvision catches the faint shimmer of a glyph carved into the keystone, still faintly active after centuries. Whatever this gateway once opened, it may not be entirely closed.
Scaled to 32mm. If you'd like a different scale, just get in touch and we'll do our best to help. Base options are available — any plain black base is supplied unattached and can be fixed easily with a small amount of glue. The piece is supplied unpainted and ready for priming, though it looks characterful straight off the build plate too.
