Description

Where the desert tribes ride, the earth trembles beneath eight chitinous legs — and the warlord on its back has never once lost a hunt.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is no simple mounted warrior. The Roving Hunter Rider is a tribal orc warlord who has broken and bonded a giant armoured scorpion as his war-mount, lashing a spiked saddle across its carapace and taking to the field with a barbed polearm raised high. The sculpt captures him mid-charge — muscular frame leaning forward, horned helmet angled into battle, spear arm swept back and ready to drive down. Beneath him, the scorpion is rendered in extraordinary detail: textured chitinous plating, articulated legs braced for movement, heavy claws gripping the ground, and a segmented armoured tail curling behind the base. Scale-patterned barding is strapped across the creature's thorax, and the whole composition reads as something between a warboss and a siege weapon.

For Dungeon Masters, this miniature works as a fearsome mounted boss encounter, a desert raider chieftain, a gnoll or orc warlord analogue, or the centrepiece of a tribal warband. For collectors and painters, the surface detail — from the rider's layered leathers and shoulder pauldrons to the scorpion's segmented underbelly — offers exceptional depth at every scale of work.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a mounted boss encounter that commands the table the moment it hits the mat
  • Are running desert, badlands, or tribal warfare campaigns
  • Want a showpiece centrepiece mini for a painted display collection
  • Are building orc warbands or exotic mounted cavalry for mass skirmish play

Encounter Hook:
The caravan's outriders return at full gallop — three of the six never come back. On the ridge above the canyon road, a lone rider crests the dune on a creature the size of a wagon, spear catching the last of the sun. Behind him, the dust cloud of a full raiding party rises. The party has two rounds before the scorpion reaches them.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The plain black base is included separately and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks or surface imperfections can occasionally occur and are straightforward to clean up with a hobby knife or fine sandpaper. Every piece goes through our quality check before it leaves us.
