Description

Somewhere in the halls of the Red Court, a single ornament hangs — woven from thorned branches and blooming roses, beautiful and dangerous in equal measure.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

This ornamental bauble from The Snowbound Mysteries collection by Great Grimoire is far more than a seasonal decoration. A globe of intertwining thorned branches, in full bloom with layered roses and delicate foliage, it speaks of a court where beauty conceals menace — Feywild nobles, winter witches, or a vampire lord who still insists on decorating for the solstice. The hollow lattice of wood and briar gives it an otherworldly, cage-like quality, as though something might once have been kept inside.

Whether used as atmospheric scatter terrain on a wintery battle map, a prop for a cursed artefact handout, or a display piece in its own right, this sculpt carries genuine character. It rewards careful painting — deep burgundy roses against bone-pale branches, perhaps a faint glow from within the hollow centre — but it holds up equally well straight from the box for those who prefer the unpainted aesthetic.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are running winter, Feywild, or gothic horror campaigns and want evocative scatter terrain
  • Need a distinctive prop for a cursed item, ritual focus, or court decoration encounter
  • Enjoy display collecting and diorama building with a dark-fantasy seasonal theme
  • Want a conversation piece that doubles as a campaign handout or table centrepiece

Encounter Hook:
The party is tasked with recovering a stolen heirloom from the Red Court's winter gala — but when they finally locate it, they find the ornament hanging above the throne, thorny vines creeping outward across the ceiling. The Countess smiles and tells them it has already begun to root. They have until midnight to cut it free, or the entire hall becomes part of the briar.

Scaled to 35mm (please message us if you would like it adjusted to 32mm). The model is supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or to display as-is. Some minor surface marks from the printing process are possible — these are easily tidied up. A decorative base option is available; if selected, please include a note with your preferred base style. The base arrives separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue.
