Roran Ironforge Blacksmith by Great Grimoire
Description
Every masterwork blade that left his anvil bore a secret — hammered in by a man who kept a dragon in a barrel and called it an apprentice.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Roran Ironforge is no ordinary village smith. Broad-shouldered, leather-aproned, and mid-swing with a hefty hammer, he commands the forge with the kind of quiet authority that comes from decades of honest, brutal work. Beside him, perched atop a wooden barrel with wings spread and jaws open, sits his unlikely companion — a small but clearly sharp-tempered dragon who eyes every passing adventurer with deep suspicion. The sculpt captures both figures mid-moment: Roran bringing the hammer down on a half-formed blade resting across a heavy iron anvil, his tool belt loaded and his sleeves rolled, while his scaled lodger makes plain that unsolicited visitors are not welcome.
This is a richly detailed 35mm NPC miniature that earns its place both on the gaming table and on the display shelf. The anvil, barrel, and dragon companion are all part of the composition, giving Roran a proper sense of place — drop him into any town or city encounter and your players will immediately understand who they're dealing with. He suits a wide range of campaign settings, from gritty low-fantasy towns to high-magic cities where even the blacksmith has an unusual business partner.
Useful for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable blacksmith NPC to anchor a town or settlement
- Are running a campaign where the party needs gear, information, or a contact with unusual connections
- Want a character mini that doubles as a display piece with real narrative weight
- Are building a market district, forge quarter, or dwarven settlement on their game table
- Enjoy painting detailed scenic compositions with multiple elements
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Ashveil looking to have a cursed sword reforged — only to find Roran's forge cold and the barrel in the corner knocked on its side. The dragon is missing, Roran is bloody-knuckled and tight-lipped, and three sets of boot prints lead out the back door toward the old mine road. Someone took the dragon. Roran would very much like it back.
This miniature is scaled to 35mm. It includes Roran Ironforge himself alongside his dragon companion on the barrel — both are part of the sculpt composition. The model comes unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or for use straight from the box. The plain base comes separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue.
