This Roman Senator miniature from Mia Kay M3DM captures a figure of civic authority mid-declaration: robed in a flowing toga with ornate geometric trim at the collar and hem, sandalled feet planted on a detailed circular base, and one arm thrust forward in command. The sculpt evokes the grand tradition of classical statesmen — the kind of man who can start a war with a speech, broker peace with a bribe, or condemn a party of adventurers to the arena with a flick of the wrist. Whether he rules a fantasy city-state, a senate chamber beneath the streets of a Roman-inspired metropolis, or the courts of a Thyatian-style empire, this miniature carries the weight of institutional power in every fold of cloth.

The pose — assertive, rhetorical, utterly in control — makes him a natural centrepiece for political intrigue, courtroom drama, or the moment your players finally get an audience with the man who's been pulling strings from the shadows all along. He works equally well as a quest-giver, a rival, a corrupt magistrate, or a weary statesman whose loyalties are genuinely unclear. Equally at home on the gaming table or displayed as part of a classical-themed collection.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run political intrigue, senate corruption, or city-state power struggles in their campaigns
  • Need a commanding NPC to deliver ultimatums, grant pardons, or condemn heroes to the gladiatorial pits
  • Want a classically inspired humanoid figure for Roman, Greek, or ancient fantasy settings
  • Collect miniatures with strong display presence alongside their gaming pieces

Encounter Hook:
The party has been summoned before the Senate to answer for their actions in the merchant district. Senator Aurelianus Vex — the very man who hired them — now stands before the assembly, arm extended, pointing directly at the adventurers. He is reading charges. The charges are his own crimes, rewritten in their names. He does not blink as he meets their eyes.
