Rock Formation 04 is a chunky cluster of three weathered stone pillars, worn smooth in places and deeply fissured along their shared faces. The tallest column rises to a rounded peak, flanked by a second of similar height and a broader, lower mass that anchors the composition at the base. Deep crevices run between them, creating natural channels of shadow that reward dry-brushing and wash techniques in equal measure. The silhouette reads clearly from every angle — squat, ancient, and unmistakably geological.
Whether you are blocking line of sight on a highland battlemap, marking the edges of a druidic stone circle, or giving your rogues somewhere convincing to hide behind, this formation earns its place on the table. It is equally well-suited to mountain passes, wilderness clearings, dungeon antechambers, and the bleak plateaus of the Shadowfell — anywhere that bedrock has had centuries to do its slow, impassive work.
Because it is a multipart piece, the components can be arranged and painted independently before final placement, giving you flexibility in how you incorporate it into your terrain collection.
Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the Standing Teeth — three great rocks that locals claim mark the boundary of an ancient pact. As the druid reaches out to read the stones' memory, every fissure begins to glow with dim blue light, and a voice that has not spoken since the Third Age rasps: "The pact is broken. You will answer for it."
