Robert by Great Grimoire

He's heard a thousand rumours, poured a thousand ales, and knows exactly which adventurers never tip — Robert the tavern keeper has seen it all, and he's raising his mug to prove it.

Every campaign needs a Robert. The bald, broad, belt-pouched landlord of whatever inn your party calls home, Robert is the kind of NPC who starts as a one-liner and ends up with a four-session backstory. His wide stance and outstretched tankard suggest a man offering a drink — but that sly, knowing expression hints he might be offering something else entirely: information, a side quest, or the name of someone who very much doesn't want to be found.

The sculpt captures every detail a painter will love: the worn leather belt laden with coin purses, the heavy cloth tunic straining at the middle, the thick-soled boots of a man who's been on his feet since sunrise, and a tankard held aloft with the casual confidence of someone who has never once spilled a drop. A character of quiet authority — the kind of NPC your party will remember long after the dungeon boss is forgotten.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

• Need a reliable tavern keeper, innkeeper, or merchant NPC for their campaign
• Are running urban or town-based encounters and want a grounded, characterful figure
• Want a quest-giver who looks like he's offering something more than just a pint
• Are building a painted display scene of a bustling medieval inn
• Play a Bard or Rogue and need someone who clearly knows the local gossip

Encounter Hook:
The party has been asking around town about the missing merchant for three days — no one knows anything. Then Robert, wiping down the bar with one hand and raising a tankard with the other, leans in close and says, quietly, that the merchant did come through. He had someone with him. And he paid in coins with a crest none of the party has seen before.

Robert is printed at 32mm scale on a round flat base. He arrives unpainted and ready for priming, with supports removed. As with all hand-checked resin work, minor surface marks are possible but easily addressed before painting. The separate tankard piece assembles cleanly with a small amount of superglue.
