Description

Where the river bends and the mist refuses to lift, something ancient and serpentine has made its home — and it does not welcome visitors.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This extraordinary sculpt from Mia Kay M3DM captures a river dragon in full mythic splendour: a long, scaled body coiling upward with sweeping antlered heads, its sinuous form wrapped around a reclining figure in a composition that feels equal parts deity and predator. The antlers branch like the crown of a dying tree, the scales ripple with organic texture, and the entire piece rests on a sweeping natural base that anchors the drama without diminishing it. This is not a creature that stomps through a dungeon — it presides over one.

River dragons occupy a fascinating space in fantasy mythology: neither the fire-breathing tyrants of mountain lairs nor the storm-callers of open skies, but something older and stranger — spirits of waterways and forgotten places, worshipped as gods by those who live along their banks and dreaded by those who cross them without tribute. On the tabletop, this sculpt works beautifully as a divine encounter, a guardian of sacred waters, or the physical manifestation of a river deity invoked by a desperate cult. As a display piece, it commands a shelf the moment it's placed on one.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable boss encounter set along a river, within a flooded ruin, or at a sacred waterway shrine
  • Are building a setting steeped in eastern-influenced or nature-spirit mythology
  • Want a centrepiece display model that doubles as a campaign showstopper
  • Love painting highly detailed creature sculpts with layered scales, antlers, and dramatic negative space

Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party not to cross the Greyveil River without leaving an offering at the stone post — but someone already took the post. The water has gone still. The fish have gone silent. And in the shallows ahead, two sets of antlers are rising slowly above the surface.
