This is a large creature sculpt — and it commands the table accordingly. The Rhino Centaur is a barrel-chested centauroid warrior with a rhinoceros head, a prominent curved horn, and the shaggy, feathered lower body of a great plains beast. He grips a massive longsword in both hands, blade raised vertically in a guard stance that speaks of discipline as much as raw power. His upper body is clad in layered leather armour with decorative leaf-work detailing across the chest and shoulders, and heavy gauntlets wrap his weapon-bearing fists. A curved tusk protrudes from his lower jaw, adding a brutish menace to an already formidable silhouette.
The sculpt carries exceptional surface detail throughout — every strand of the shaggy coat across his four legs is individually rendered, the armour panels have a worn, lived-in texture, and the facial expression conveys a warrior who has fought many battles and expects to fight many more. This is a large-sized miniature with genuine presence: the kind that makes players sit up straighter when it hits the table.
Whether you're fielding him as a tribal warlord of the open grasslands, a monstrous guardian of a highland fortress, or a rare and dangerous centauroid BBEG with his own war band, this sculpt carries the weight of the role. He also paints brilliantly — the layered textures across fur, leather, and metal give painters of all skill levels satisfying areas to work with.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Need a large creature encounter that feels genuinely threatening at the table
- Are running a campaign involving monstrous humanoid tribes, highland warbands, or plains-dwelling warrior cultures
- Want a centauroid mini that breaks from the classical horse-body archetype
- Are looking for a display piece that rewards careful painting
- Enjoy fielding unusual creature types that surprise and unsettle players
Encounter Hook: The caravan had crossed the Highland Reaches without incident — until the scouts reported a single figure standing in the road ahead. Eight feet tall, clad in battle-scarred leather, with a rhino's horn and a blade as long as a man is tall. Behind him, just visible in the long grass, the shapes of more. The warlord does not charge. He simply waits, sword raised, and lets his silence do the work.
