Retired Knight (Sildar Hallwinter) by Monster Atlas

He's seen wars end and kingdoms fall, and yet here he stands — sword at his hip, jaw set, ready to serve one last cause worth fighting for.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This miniature captures the weary authority of a man who has earned every scar. The sculpt presents a broad, heavyset human male in a practical travel tunic belted at the waist, worn over chainmail sleeves — the kit of a soldier who travels light but knows how to fight. A short sword hangs at his left hip, and his right hand rests loose and ready at his side. His expression is a masterclass in quiet menace: brow furrowed, gaze angled slightly upward as though assessing a threat with the calm of someone who has already won this kind of fight before.

The detail across the fabric folds, the chainmail links at the shoulder, and the stitched belt is crisp throughout — exactly what you want for a character who is far more dangerous than his plain clothes suggest. Two angles are shown in the render, and the sculpt reads with equal confidence from front and side, with no dead zones in the pose.

Whether you're running Lost Mine of Phandelver and need Sildar Hallwinter himself, or you're building a mercenary contact, a town guard captain, a Fighter NPC with a history, or a grizzled veteran PC — this sculpt does the work without needing a single painted highlight to communicate who this man is.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

• Are running Lost Mine of Phandelver or the Starter Set campaign and need an accurate Sildar Hallwinter
• Want a Fighter or veteran NPC for urban intrigue, city-watch encounters, or faction politics
• Need a believable retired soldier for a morally complex questgiver or reluctant ally
• Collect human character sculpts with strong, readable personality from across the tabletop
• Paint realistic, muted military palettes and want a sculpt with good fabric and armour texture

Encounter Hook: The party finds Sildar Hallwinter battered and barely conscious in a Goblin Crestfallen camp on the Triboar Trail. He knows where Gundren Rockseeker is — but he needs a healer, a moment to gather himself, and adventurers he can trust. The question is whether the party's interests align with his before he decides to tell them everything.
