Few creatures capture the raw, unresolved fury of the restless dead quite like this sculpt. The Restless Soul Chasing is a wiry, spectral figure frozen mid-lunge — limbs outstretched, clawed fingers grasping at nothing yet, and a torrent of wild, wind-whipped hair that flows behind her like a shroud caught in a storm. There is nothing gentle or mournful about this spirit. She is rage given form.
The sculpt's energy is all forward momentum — weight shifted onto one foot, the other leg trailing behind, the whole body tilting into its charge with feral intent. The face is mid-shriek, hollow-eyed and savage, the kind of expression that makes players reach instinctively for their turn order cards. She stands atop a cracked and skull-embossed gravestone fragment, which grounds the scene perfectly and reinforces the sense of something violently breaking free of its rest.
The detail in the flowing hair alone makes this a rewarding painting project — the long cascading locks catch light brilliantly and reward careful drybrushing or glazing. Whether you render her in ghostly pale whites and sickly greens or go for a more corporeal, bleached horror aesthetic, the sculpt has the depth to carry it.
This is a multipart miniature, and it is available with or without the decorative gravestone base — useful for adventurers who prefer to mount her on a custom base of their own design.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a high-energy undead encounter piece that reads instantly on the table
- Run gothic horror, Ravenloft, or graveyard-crawl campaigns
- Want a rewarding centrepiece painting project with excellent surface detail
- Are building out a haunted location encounter with memorable individual spirits
- Love undead miniatures that feel genuinely threatening rather than shambling
Encounter Hook
The party is halfway through looting the Mosswick crypt when the youngest grave — freshly turned earth, no headstone yet — erupts from below. A woman in burial whites, her face a rictus of betrayal, launches herself at the nearest party member. She was poisoned by her own kin three nights ago and she very much intends to make someone pay. Whether the party is responsible or not is, from her perspective, negotiable.
