Description
They say you can hear a Redcap before you see it — the wet scrape of iron boots on stone, and the low, grinding laugh of something that has lived far too long in the dark places between the fey realms.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Redcaps are among the most unsettling denizens of the Feywild — fey creatures stripped of whimsy and left only with menace. This sculpt captures one mid-stalk: hunched forward with intent, both hands gripping a long curved blade, iron-studded boots planted wide. The elongated skull, pointed ears, and scraggly beard give him the look of something ancient and mean. His patched, lashed-together armour tells the story of a creature that takes what it needs and mends what it can — then hunts again. At 24mm to the top of the head, he's a compact, characterful piece that reads clearly at arm's length across a gaming table.
Whether you're running a Feywild hex-crawl, populating a corrupted forest, or building a collection of dangerous fey to terrify your players, this Redcap brings a genuine sense of threat to the encounter. He works equally well as a roaming monster, a warchief for a small band of lesser fey, or a chilling centrepiece on a display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run Feywild campaigns and want fey that feel genuinely dangerous rather than whimsical
- Need a memorable low-to-mid CR monster that players will remember long after the session
- Collect dark or unsettling fey miniatures for display
- Want a characterful NPC with a strong visual read at the table
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a missing woodcutter for two days when they find his axe — clean, propped neatly against a tree — and a trail of iron boot-prints leading into the thornwood. At the end of the trail, hunched over something they cannot yet see, a figure turns slowly and grins. His cap is very, very red.
Scaled to 32mm (miniature stands approximately 24mm to the top of the head). Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Every piece is quality checked before dispatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface marks are possible and can be cleaned up easily prior to priming.
