This sculpt captures a young red dragon at the height of its first territorial fury — rearing upright on its hind legs, the massive bat-like wings thrust fully open to their maximum span, each membrane taut between elongated bone-spurs. The neck cranes forward, a crown of swept-back frills and jagged dorsal spines running the full length of the spine down to a coiling tail that curls at the base. The scaled body shows extraordinary surface detail: overlapping scales shift from broad chest plates to finer, more delicate scaling along the underbelly, giving a painter tremendous texture to work into. Clawed feet grip the swirling cloud base — a dramatic swirl of sculpted smoke or volcanic vapour that adds real visual lift to the pose without requiring a scenic element from the DM.
