This Red Cultist Mage is a figure drenched in unsettling ritual detail. A broad-brimmed hat sits above a wrapped, eyeless mask marked with a single sun-like emblem — a symbol of devotion to something ancient and unblinking. Heavy layered robes billow from the figure's frame, bound at the waist by thick coiled rope from which ornate latticed lanterns hang. The arms are raised and outstretched, hands splayed wide as ribbons of conjured energy spiral outward from the fingertips — the posture of someone mid-incantation, calling down something that should not be called.

The sculpt rewards careful painters. The lanterns, rope-belt, hat brim, and flowing energy tendrils each offer their own distinct surface texture, while the masked face becomes an invitation to tell a story with paint alone — a pale glow, a crack of light, or simply an unsettling blankness. Whether rendered in deep crimson, ash grey, or the sickly green of eldritch corruption, this miniature carries presence at any table.

As a display piece, the energy ribbons arcing above the figure make it a natural centrepiece — the kind of miniature that earns a spot on the shelf after the campaign is over.

Suits adventurers who:

  • Need a menacing spellcaster for a cult encounter or ritual-gone-wrong encounter
  • Are building a faction of masked zealots for a longer arc villain
  • Want a character who reads immediately as dangerous even before a word is spoken at the table
  • Are looking for a rewarding intermediate-to-advanced painting project
  • Play warlocks, sorcerers, or wizards and want a masked, robed aesthetic for their character

Encounter Hook

The party arrives at the village of Ashenmere three days after the harvest festival — and finds every lantern still burning, every door locked from the inside, and a single trail of bare footprints leading to the standing stones at the forest's edge. At the centre of the stones, robes snapping in a wind that isn't blowing anywhere else, the cultist raises both hands toward a moon that has turned the wrong colour. The lanterns at their belt swing in perfect rhythm. They have not noticed the party yet. They will.
