Description

Somewhere beneath the city, in a chamber lit by lantern-light and the faint glow of profane scripture, a masked figure reads aloud from a tome that should never have been opened.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This robed cultist cuts a quietly menacing figure — masked, hooded, and wholly absorbed in whatever scripture their order has set before them. The sculpt captures a character deep in ritual concentration: an open tome held in one hand, a thick braided rope wound around the waist, and multiple diamond-patterned lanterns hanging from the belt. Scrolls or tokens protrude from the back, hinting at further arcane purpose. The flowing robes are beautifully detailed, with natural folds and torn, ragged hem-edges suggesting a figure who has long since stopped caring about the material world.

The star-shaped mask — blank, expressionless, unsettling — is the centrepiece of the design. It communicates devotion without identity, which is precisely what makes cult-themed miniatures so effective on the table. This is not a warrior. This is a believer, and that distinction lands differently when your players encounter them mid-ritual.

As a multipart sculpt, this miniature rewards careful preparation and painting. The lanterns and book offer excellent opportunities for OSL (object-source lighting) effects, while the deep fabric folds and textured rope work respond well to layering and washes. Whether painted in crimson cult colours or something altogether more unsettling, this piece holds real presence both on the gaming table and on the display shelf.

  • Cultist NPCs for secret society encounter arcs
  • Wizards or warlocks pursuing forbidden knowledge
  • Ritual scene centrepieces alongside scatter terrain
  • Painting projects focused on OSL and fabric techniques
  • Display collectors building cult or Ravenloft-themed vignettes

Encounter Hook: The party has been tasked with retrieving a stolen relic — but when they breach the cult's inner sanctum, they find the Red Cultist already mid-ritual, the tome open, the lanterns swaying, and the air crackling with something that hasn't yet decided whether it's a spell or a summoning.
