Description
He was once a scholar who sought forbidden knowledge beyond the Underdark's edge — now Elthakar has shed every last remnant of his former self, reborn as something that defies the taxonomy of aberrations entirely.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Elthakar the Reborn is no ordinary mind flayer. Where a standard illithid conceals its alien nature beneath robes and courtly ambition, Elthakar has abandoned all pretence. His torso is wreathed in writhing appendages — thick, ridged tentacles coiling outward like the arms of something far older than the Elder Brain that once commanded him. Smaller, grotesque spawn-like forms cling to his limbs and drag themselves across his ornate ceremonial robes, which remain immaculately detailed in stark, horrible contrast to the biological chaos above. The base itself is alive with crawling aberrant creatures, as though the ground beneath him has already begun its transformation.
This sculpt from DM Stash's Aberrant Ascension collection is a centrepiece monster in every sense — a BBEG with genuine table presence, carrying enough visual complexity to anchor an entire campaign arc. Whether you're running an Underdark conspiracy, a Far Realm incursion, or a body-horror arc where the party slowly realises something has been changing the townsfolk from the inside out, Elthakar is the face of that revelation. Equally at home on a gaming table or a collector's display shelf, he rewards a patient painter with layer upon layer of textural detail.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a large, imposing BBEG for an Underdark or Far Realm campaign
- Want a mind flayer variant that goes far beyond a standard illithid encounter
- Are building a body-horror or aberration-themed arc with a memorable villain at its centre
- Collect display-quality fantasy miniatures with exceptional sculpt detail
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to investigate a monastery where the monks have taken a vow of total silence — but the local children swear they can hear a voice inside their heads at night, speaking in a language with no words. When the adventurers arrive, the abbot greets them with a warm smile and eight arms.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — Elthakar interacts meaningfully with his base, so we recommend keeping them together. Printed at high resolution with fine surface detail throughout. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin prints, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be cleaned up before priming. Arrives fully cured and ready to paint or display as-is.
