Rebirthed Aberration of the Deep One 01 by DM Stash

Something hauled itself up from the abyssal trench — not quite the creature it once was, reshaped by dark tidal forces into something far more terrible than the deep had ever made before.

This is a miniature that announces itself before a single die has been rolled. The Rebirthed Aberration of the Deep One is a hunched, predatory horror — fish-headed and frill-crested, its wide-set eyes and rows of jagged teeth giving it the look of something that has never once needed to learn mercy. A thick coil of rope hangs around its neck like a trophy or a curse, and its body is wrapped in ragged cloth that does nothing to conceal the grotesque musculature beneath.

What makes this sculpt genuinely unsettling is the asymmetry. One arm terminates in a great serrated crab claw — chitinous, ridged, and clearly capable of shearing through armour — while the other ends in splayed, hooked fingers reaching forward with hungry intent. Barnacle-like growths cluster across its skin, and its legs taper into scaled, segmented limbs that speak of something not fully committed to living on land. The scenic base completes the picture: cracked stone and coastal detritus beneath its taloned feet, as though it has just dragged itself ashore.

Detailed across every surface — from the fine scales crowning its skull to the blistered skin across its torso — this miniature rewards careful brushwork. Whether painted in deep oceanic greens and barnacle greys or given an unsettling bioluminescent treatment, it will hold its own both as an encounter piece and as a display model.

• Adventurers running coastal, aquatic, or Underdark campaigns who need a creature encounter that feels genuinely alien
• Dungeon Masters who want a memorable mutant horror for a Deep One cult or aberrant sea-creature encounter
• Painters drawn to organic textures — scales, tumorous growths, chitinous claws, and tattered cloth all in a single sculpt
• Collectors building out a display of aquatic monsters or Lovecraftian-inspired miniatures

Encounter Hook: The fishing village of Greyveil has gone quiet. When the party investigates, they find the docks abandoned and a trail of rope and kelp leading inland — and at the end of it, crouched over an overturned boat, this thing. It doesn't retreat. It was waiting for them.
