Description

Once the greatest bull of the northern tundra, Tjornir fell to hunters' spears a thousand years ago — but something in the glacial dark refused to let those bones stay still.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Tjornir is a boss-weight undead creature that carries the full weight of a necromantic set piece. His decaying hide splits apart to reveal glowing necrotic veins pulsing beneath, jagged ice crystals and bone shards erupt along his spine, and those ancient curved tusks — cracked and yellowed — still look more than capable of reducing a wall to splinters. The sculpt captures a beast mid-charge, head low and massive, the kind of thing that fills a doorway and makes every player at the table sit up straight. The detailed scenic base features fractured glacial terrain with smaller ice formations rising around his feet, giving the whole piece an environmental drama that makes it equally at home as a tabletop encounter piece or a display centrepiece.

This is a genuinely large miniature — Tjornir towers over standard infantry models, as a reanimated mammoth absolutely should. The level of surface detail across every layer — matted fur, exposed ribcage, necrotic crystal growths, and a trunk still curled with purpose — rewards careful painting. Whether you wash him down in cold blues and purples to echo the glacial horror of the render, or go for a warmer palette of rotting flesh tones and sickly greens, there is an enormous amount here for painters to work with.

A solid pick for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable boss monster for a frozen tundra, undead glacier, or necromancer stronghold encounter
  • Want a large-scale undead beast that commands the table immediately
  • Are building a display piece worthy of a shelf all to itself
  • Play campaigns in arctic or far-north settings where prehistoric horrors are fair game
  • Love an intricate paint project with multiple distinct textures and materials

Encounter Hook:
The party's map marks the old hunters' burial ground three miles ahead — but the ground is shaking before they get within a mile of it. A silhouette crests the snowdrift: enormous, wrong-shaped, the tusks unmistakable but the body too broken to be alive. Behind Tjornir, half-buried in the permafrost, a necromancer in frost-rimed robes raises one hand and smiles. The mammoth does not stop moving.

Tjornir is scaled to 32mm and comes as a model and separate decorative base, which can be attached with superglue. The base is sculpted to interact with the model's pose and is well worth including for the full effect. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — some minor clean-up of support marks may be needed, as is standard with resin miniature production.
