Description

In the warrens beneath the city, not every blade belongs to a thief — some ratfolk choose the honourable path of the sword.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This Ratfolk Fighter cuts a composed and capable figure — a seasoned warrior who has long since proved that size and species matter far less than discipline and a well-maintained blade. Clad in scale mail with plated pauldrons and segmented arm guards, the sculpt captures a fighter mid-stance: weight shifted forward, both hands gripping the pommel of a broad longsword angled across the body in a controlled, threat-reading posture. The expression is calm but watchful, the kind of look that says the sword will be moving before you've finished your sentence.

The detail across the armour is crisp and well-defined — individual scales across the torso, layered faulds at the waist, and wrapped shin guards over bare, clawed feet give the figure a grounded, lived-in quality. The rat head is sharply rendered with a naturalistic expression: alert, slightly narrowed eyes and a composed mouth. The long tail curling behind the figure adds a sense of organic balance that keeps the pose feeling dynamic rather than static.

Sculpted by MZ4250, this Ratfolk Fighter is a characterful addition to any collection of beastfolk warriors, and holds up equally well as a display piece for painters who want a sculpt with real surface interest — armour, fur, scale, and metal all in one figure.

This miniature works well for adventurers who:

  • Play a Ratfolk, Mousefolk, or beastfolk Fighter in D&D or Pathfinder
  • Need an NPC warrior from an underground colony or city sewer faction
  • Want a morally ambiguous sword-for-hire to seed intrigue in an urban campaign
  • Are looking for a distinctive beastfolk sculpt with strong painterly potential
  • Collect humanoid fighter minis that break from the typical human or elven archetype

Encounter Hook

The guild contact the party was sent to meet is not what they expected — a compact ratfolk mercenary sitting alone in a back booth, armoured and unhurried, a longsword resting against the table. He slides a sealed envelope across the wood without standing. "Payment upfront," he says. "And I don't do jobs that end badly for me." The party's next mission just got considerably more interesting.
