Rat King's Throne by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
From his throne of plundered coin and cracked skulls, the Rat King surveys his domain — and he has been waiting for your party to arrive.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is not merely a monster miniature. It is a declaration of power. The Rat King lounges atop a mound of accumulated treasure — stacked tomes, a locked chest, scattered coins, and the bones of those who underestimated him — wearing a jagged crown and armour bristling with pipes and mechanical attachments. His long tail coils down through the hoard, and his jaw hangs open mid-command, mid-threat, or perhaps mid-laugh. The sculpt radiates the energy of a crime lord who has never once had to stand up to make his point.
This is a centrepiece miniature built for Dungeon Masters who want their BBEG to own the room before a single dice is rolled. Mounted on a wide 80mm scenic base packed with environmental storytelling — runic engravings, fallen weapons, and scattered debris — it works equally well as a tabletop encounter piece or a display centrepiece worthy of any shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a rat-folk warlord, crime boss, or underworld kingpin for their campaign
- Want a BBEG with genuine presence and a throne room's worth of narrative detail
- Are building an Underdark, sewer, or thieves' guild encounter
- Enjoy painting characterful centrepiece sculpts with rich surface detail
- Want a statement piece for display as well as gaming
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing guild shipments down through three levels of sewer tunnel. When the passage finally opens into a vaulted chamber, they find every stolen crate stacked neatly around a throne of bones and brass — and the Rat King already looking directly at them, one claw tapping the armrest, completely unbothered.
Printed at an enlarged scale to suit its role as a boss character — the base measures 80mm across. The base is supplied detached and can be glued in place. Supports are removed prior to dispatch, though minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily cleaned up before painting.
