This Rat Folk Rogue Attack miniature captures a ratfolk assassin mid-lunge — body low and streamlined, all four limbs splayed close to the ground in a predatory crouch. Two bladed weapons extend from each hand, the posture communicating speed and purpose in equal measure. The sculpt is packed with textural detail: coarse fur across the body, layered leather straps and wrapped bindings across the torso, and a distinctive bat-like ear silhouette on the alert, sharp-snouted head. This is not a creature sneaking — this is one that has already decided the fight is over.
The dynamic attack pose makes this mini immediately readable on the table. Whether placed mid-charge or frozen at the moment of the first strike, it reads as a credible threat from any angle. The extended blades — one per hand — give painters a clear focal point and offer a great opportunity for edge highlighting and contrasting metallics against the warm tones of the leather armour.
A blue d20 scale reference is visible in the original render, confirming this as a medium-sized creature. The sculpt is pre-supported for clean printing and captures both movement and menace without sacrificing detail in the fur texture or the wrapped-leather harness across the back.
A good pick for adventurers who:
- Run thieves' guild encounters, assassination plots, or urban criminal factions
- Need a ratfolk rogue as a player character or recurring NPC rival
- Are building out a sewer, underdark, or urban encounter set
- Enjoy technically detailed minis with strong painting opportunities
- Want a creature that reads as dangerous before a single stat block is consulted
Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen ledger from the Saltwharf Thieves' Guild — but as they slip into the underbelly of the docks, they realise the ledger is already on the move. A ratfolk courier, blades out and low to the ground, bolts across the rooftops. Do they give chase across crumbling tiles in the dark, or try to cut off the escape route before the handoff is made?
