Where most centaurs suggest the rolling plains or the forest's edge, this sculpt speaks of something older and more dangerous — the sun-baked hunting grounds where apex predators set the rules. Her lower body is that of a raptor: ribbed and muscular, with scaled legs bound at the joints with wrapped cordage, and a long counterbalancing tail that gives her silhouette a coiled, spring-loaded quality. Her clawed feet grip the ground with three thick talons, and one foreleg is raised mid-step, as though she has just paused to assess something she has already decided is prey.
Her humanoid upper half carries the same controlled intensity. She is posed with one arm raised, hand drawn back behind her head — the gesture of someone mid-signal, mid-calculation, or mid-threat. Her hair is swept up into a high tail, and she wears a fitted bodice and corset-style armour over her torso, practical yet precisely detailed. Her expression is impassive and focused, which is somehow more unsettling than a snarl.
The sculpt is mounted on a large 51mm decorative base that gives the figure the footprint and visual weight her form demands. This is a miniature that reads clearly across a gaming table and rewards close inspection on a painting desk.
Suited to adventurers who want to:
- Field an exotic, dinosaur-lineage warrior as a player character in a prehistoric or jungle campaign
- Build an encounter around a raptor-folk matriarch or pack hunter leading her kin
- Represent a cursed shapeshifter or fey-touched being whose draconic heritage has taken an unexpected form
- Add a centaur variant that breaks completely from the equine archetype
- Create a visually distinctive character for a Lost World or planar exploration campaign
Encounter Hook
The jungle trail goes cold at a narrow clearing. The party's tracker spots claw marks — three-toed, deep, and recent — circling the perimeter at regular intervals. Then, from above the canopy line, a tail flicks into view: long, wrapped, and absolutely still. She has been watching since before they entered the trees. She steps into the light, head tilted, one arm raised in what might be a warning or might be a greeting. Either way, she has already chosen whether the party leaves.
