Description

The undergrowth barely whispers before it erupts — a feathered streak of scale and claw, head cresting with quills, jaws already open.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Large base size (51mm) — appropriate for large creatures in D&D 5e
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is no scaled lizard loping through tall grass — this raptor is a creature of feather and fury, bristling with layered plumage across its chest, arms, and legs. The sculpt captures a mid-stride hunting pose: weight forward, claws spread wide, tail counterbalancing behind, and that fanged jaw wide open in a threat display or a killing strike, your choice. The distinctive crest of overlapping feathers atop the skull gives it a character that sits somewhere between a prehistoric terror and a fantastical beast worthy of the most dramatic encounter.

The detail work across the body is worth noting for painters — individual feathers are clearly resolved across the chest and limbs, transitioning to finer scale texture at the thighs and underbelly. The sickle claws on each foot are sharp and well-defined, and the open maw reveals rows of teeth rendered with real care. Whether you're layering naturalistic browns and greens or going full fantasy with iridescent plumage, this sculpt rewards time at the brush.

On a 51mm large base, this raptor has genuine table presence. Run it as a velociraptor-style beast, a dinosaur companion, a mount for a lizardfolk or yuan-ti NPC, or the pack leader in a terrifying predator ambush. It works equally well as a display piece — the dynamic pose reads from every angle.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run Lost Mines, Chult, or any setting with megafauna and prehistoric threats
  • Want a large-base beast that reads as fast and dangerous on the table
  • Play or DM Beast Master Rangers with a seriously impressive companion
  • Are building a Jurassic-inspired encounter diorama or display piece
  • Love painting layered feather textures and naturalistic animal subjects

Encounter Hook: The party is three days into the Verdant Expanse when they find the remains of a merchant wagon — everything picked clean, the draught horses gone entirely. The ranger examines three-toed tracks in the mud: large, deeply impressed, still fresh. She looks up slowly. From the tree line, not twenty feet away, an eye blinks. Then the crest rises. The raptor was not hunting alone.
