Description

Before the party even heard the shriek, the scout saw it perched on the ruins — feathers fanned wide, taloned hand curled, and that beak open in a scream that meant something ancient and hungry had found them first.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This bust captures a creature that sits at the unsettling crossroads of avian predator and draconic beast. The sculpt presents a powerfully built torso layered in tight, overlapping feathers that give way to exposed, sinew-stretched musculature across the chest. The head is thrown back, beak agape and lined with hooked teeth — somewhere between an eagle's killing instrument and a dragon's jaw. One taloned hand reaches forward, claws splayed, as broad flight feathers sweep dramatically to either side. The pose reads as a creature mid-shriek, utterly in command of whatever sky it claims.

Mounted on an elegant display column and plinth, this is a bust sculpted for painters and collectors who want a piece with genuine narrative weight. Every feather group, every stretch of skin across those clavicles, and every hooked talon is rendered with the kind of detail that rewards careful brushwork — from the transition between feather and flesh to the fine texture of those outstretched primaries.

Well-suited to adventurers who:

  • Want a centrepiece display project that showcases advanced painting techniques
  • Are building a collection of characterful fantasy creature busts
  • Need a memorable visual for a Kenku warlord, monstrous avian deity, or fearsome beast patron
  • Enjoy finding inspiration for campaign encounters in the pieces on their shelf

Encounter Hook:
The mountain pass was supposed to be clear — the rangers had scouted it twice. But now the party stands at the mouth of a narrow ravine, and carved into the cliff face above the entrance is a stone effigy of this very creature, beak open, talons spread. Someone left it there as a warning. The tracks in the snow suggest whatever it depicts left those marks less than an hour ago.

Details

This is a display bust rather than a standard tabletop combat miniature. It comes mounted on a decorative column plinth and is printed at a scale suited to showcase painting and shelf display. Printed in high detail, supports are removed before dispatch — minor touch-up may occasionally be needed on contact points, which is standard for complex bust formats.
