The Ram Troll is a horrifying fusion of brute and aberration — a massive, hunched troll-like creature whose back has erupted with two enormous, coiling worm-like tentacles, each thick as a tree trunk and riddled with segmented, fleshy ridges. Arrows jut from the tendrils and torso, suggesting this thing has weathered entire volleys of fire without slowing. Its wide, fang-filled mouth hangs open in a guttural roar, heavy brow furrowed with savage intent.
Strapped across its barrel chest is a patchwork harness of bolted leather and rope, a nod to whatever crude civilisation — or captivity — once shaped it. Its left arm ends in a spiked gauntlet or claw-guard bristling with brutal metal protrusions, while its legs and feet are those of a heavy, shambling creature built for endurance over speed. The sculpt is labelled HUGE by Epic Miniatures, meaning this is a genuinely oversized piece — it will dominate the encounter table with real physical presence.
The image shows a digital render in warm terracotta orange, with a small scale reference in the upper-right corner showing the mini alongside a standard humanoid figure and a D20 — making clear just how massive this creature truly is. The sculpt is pre-supported and packed with fine detail across the armour straps, segmented tendrils, and textured hide.
Whether you're running it as a troll variant, a cursed abomination, a lesser tanar'ri, or a creature entirely of your own devising, the Ram Troll brings unmistakable menace to any encounter.
Great for adventurers who:
- Need a genuinely huge boss-level creature for a wilderness or dungeon encounter
- Want a visually distinct troll that goes beyond the standard sculpt
- Are building an aberration or mutated-creature encounter for a body horror-themed campaign
- Love a centrepiece mini that will stop the table in its tracks
- Paint large-scale creatures and want a canvas full of interesting texture work
Encounter Hook
The caravan was found three miles from the village — wagons overturned, horses gone, and two dozen arrows embedded in the treeline at a height no human could have reached. The arrows are still there. Something pulled them out of itself and kept walking.
