Rakshasas are among the most chilling adversaries a party can face: fiends wearing the skin of nobility, possessed of formidable spellcasting, near-immunity to low-level magic, and a casual cruelty that makes them unforgettable villains. This sculpt captures that unsettling elegance — a tiger-headed figure in a sweeping full-length cape, one clawed hand raised as if gesturing mid-negotiation (or mid-incantation), the other loose at his side. The articulated leg armour and layered tunic suggest a creature that moves between courtly intrigue and violent confrontation with equal ease.
The pose is cool and commanding — not raging, not cowering, but utterly in control. Whether you're placing him at the head of a merchant consortium, presiding over a devil's bargain in some lamplit hall, or revealed as the true power behind a corrupt city guild, this miniature has the presence to carry the moment.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a recurring Rakshasa BBEG with genuine table presence
- Are running urban intrigue, planar travel, or Ravenloft-adjacent campaigns
- Want a display piece that rewards close painting — the cape and face offer brilliant detail opportunities
- Are building encounters around shapeshifters, fiend-blooded nobles, or crime syndicate bosses
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a series of murders in the merchant quarter — each victim found with their most prized possession inexplicably missing. The trail leads to a charming spice trader named Vassar Mirn, who greets them warmly, offers tea, and calmly informs them he already knows why they've come. His hands, the party now notices, bend the wrong way.
