Thorod Gardisson is no shambling skeleton — he is the draugar chieftain your players will dread meeting at the end of a long dungeon crawl. Massive in frame, barely contained by the rotting fur cloak wrapped around his bloated corpse, he charges forward with two heavy axes raised and his intestines trailing loose from a split gut that doesn't slow him one stride. The bone crest on his riveted helm marks him as a former warlord, and the fury locked into his sunken face makes it very clear that whatever woke him had excellent taste in threats.

This sculpt from Great Grimoire captures every grotesque detail of the draugar legend — the wild, matted beard, the leather-wrapped bracers still bound tight over decaying arms, the shaggy fur greaves dragging across the ground, and the wide, unhinged stride of something that feels no pain and remembers only violence. He works brilliantly as a boss-tier undead warrior, a Viking barrow guardian, or a named lieutenant in a larger undead warband. Equally at home on a display shelf as he is terrorising a party of adventurers on the battlemat.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a boss-level undead warrior for a Norse or viking-themed campaign
  • Want a centrepiece mini for a barrow, tomb, or frost-cursed dungeon encounter
  • Are building an undead warband and need a commanding leader figure
  • Love painting highly detailed, textured sculpts with fur, bone, and decayed flesh
  • Collect display-quality character minis from independent artists

Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party about the barrow on the hill — that something buried there refused to stay down. The adventurers find the tomb already open from the inside. Claw marks score the stone from beneath. Then, from the treeline, something enormous steps into the moonlight, two axes dragging furrows in the frozen earth, a bone-crested helm tilted at a curious angle. It hasn't spoken. It doesn't need to.

Printed at 35mm scale. If you'd prefer a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate. The plain black base is included separately and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with any high-detail sculpt, minor marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up before priming.
