This is pose 01 of our Queen's Guard Sergeant range, sculpted by Galaad Miniatures with a commanding, wide-stance posture that radiates authority. The sergeant stands on a cracked cobblestone base, cape swept dramatically behind them, one gauntleted hand outstretched in a clear warning and the other thrusting a longsword forward at low guard. The armour is layered and campaign-worn — pauldrons bound with heavy rope, a plumed helmet, and detailed chain visible at the collar — giving the impression of someone who has earned their rank through years of street-level enforcement rather than courtly appointment. Every surface offers a painter rich texture: laced rope detailing, segmented plate, worn cloth, and that flowing cape begging for OSL or deep shade work.
Whether you need a recurring city authority figure, a quest-giver with divided loyalties, or a fighter PC who rose through the ranks of a royal military, this sculpt carries genuine narrative weight. Equally at home on the tabletop mid-encounter and in a display cabinet as a painting showcase piece.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Need a named city guard NPC with presence and personality
- Are running urban campaigns where law enforcement plays a recurring role
- Want a fighter or paladin player character with a military background
- Are building a Queen's Guard faction for large-scale encounter set-pieces
- Enjoy a technically rich sculpt to push their painting skills
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the city gate just as the portcullis drops — and the sergeant blocking their path recognises the face of a wanted companion on last week's bounty notice. One hand is already raised. The other hand hasn't lowered the sword. They have exactly thirty seconds to explain themselves before the watch is called.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and decorative cobblestone base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — the pose is sculpted to work with the base, so we'd encourage using it for the best overall look. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or useable straight from the box for gaming.
