Description

Deep beneath the earth, where the drow hold dominion, the Quaggoth Thonots are something to be feared even by their masters — beast-bodied shamans touched by psionic fury, answering to no leash.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 01 of our Quaggoth Thonot range from Novaminis. Arms thrown wide, one clawed hand brandishing a bone-tipped rod skyward while the other spreads its talons in a display of raw psionic menace — this sculpt captures the Thonot mid-incantation, the moment before something very bad happens to whoever is standing in front of it. A heavy, stitched cloak billows behind the creature's densely furred body, and the shaggy, layered texture of its pelt gives painters a wealth of surface detail to work into. The broad, snarling face beneath a deep hood and the bear-like crouch of the legs read instantly as feral strength barely restrained by fractured intellect.

Whether you're populating a drow city's outer tunnels, statting up a surprise psionic ambush for mid-tier adventurers, or adding an Underdark centrepiece to a display shelf, this sculpt carries genuine character. It works just as well as a trophy piece for a painted collection as it does threatening a party of four across a battle mat.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need credible Underdark threats beyond the obvious
  • Want a boss-tier monster mini with strong silhouette and painting detail
  • Are building a drow-adjacent encounter with layered faction politics
  • Collect and paint fantasy monsters with standout surface texture

Encounter Hook:
The party is tasked with negotiating safe passage through a drow-held cavern network — but the drow matron warns them that a Thonot has gone rogue in the outer tunnels, slaughtering her scouts and speaking in no tongue she recognises. When they find it, it is kneeling over something it has drawn on the cave floor in ichor, arms raised exactly like this, and it does not look up when they approach.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-checked prints, we do our best to ensure every piece leaves us cleanly, though minor marks from support removal can occasionally occur and are straightforward to tidy up before priming.

Sculpted by Novaminis — visit their page to see more of their work.

The cats cannot help with the work. They have, however, rolled a natural 20 on Supervision.

Works beautifully alongside NPC characters for complete Underdark delves — or explore more from Novaminis.
