This is pose 03 of our Quaggoth Warrior range from Novaminis, and it captures the creature mid-lunge — hunched forward, one enormous clawed hand raking outward and the other clutching a crude blade, its matted fur rendered in extraordinary layered detail. The snarling face is lowered aggressively, shoulders bunched, weight shifting onto a single heavy foot — every line of the sculpt communicates raw, unstoppable momentum. This is not a creature that negotiates.
Quaggoths are a staple of Underdark encounters, frequently encountered as thralls of the drow or feral packs haunting forgotten passages. Whether you need a mid-tier brute to pressure your party, a pack leader for a larger horde, or a centrepiece beast for a subterranean lair, this sculpt brings genuine menace to the tabletop. Equally at home on a display shelf alongside other Underdark denizens, the layered fur texture and dynamic pose reward a careful paint job.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Run Underdark campaigns and need believable, ferocious muscle for drow encounters
- Want a quaggoth with presence — not a static standing pose but a creature mid-charge
- Collect Novaminis' Monsters with Character range and want all available poses
- Enjoy detail-rich painting projects where fur texture and deep recesses do the heavy lifting
- Display curated collections of D&D monsters and creatures alongside their game use
Encounter Hook:
The party hears it before they see it — a wet, guttural roar from somewhere ahead in the passage — and then the torchlight catches it: a quaggoth already mid-charge, iron-hard claws scraping stone, its handler's chain trailing broken behind it. Whatever controlled this creature is long dead. That is not reassuring.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed in place with a drop of glue. Each piece is printed at high resolution for sharp detail across the fur, claws, and facial features. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be tidied with standard hobby tools. Arrives fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box.
