Description

Something moves in the dark beneath the Underdark — not with the clatter of armour or the scrape of boots, but with the low, purposeful silence of a predator that has never needed to fear anything it has encountered.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Quaggoth is one of D&D's most viscerally unsettling creatures: part feral beast, part wronged intellect, wholly dangerous. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures it in a four-limbed hunting crouch — weight forward, claws splayed wide across the ground, the dense layered feathers along its back and shoulders raised like hackles. The hunched spine and bowed head give it the look of something coiled rather than resting, every muscle loaded with the promise of sudden, explosive movement. The feathered mane cascades from crown to lower back in overlapping layers of sharp-edged plumes, contrasting with the lean, exposed musculature of its limbs — a sculpt that rewards careful painting from base coat to highlight.

This is pose 01 of our Quaggoth range — a low, ground-level crouch that reads instantly as a creature mid-stalk. Whether you're statting it up as a standalone threat or leading a pack through the tunnels beneath a drow city, this pose carries real menace on the table.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and want a creature that feels genuinely feral
  • Need a convincing patrol or guardian encounter for a drow outpost or deep cavern
  • Paint monsters for display and want layered feather and muscle texture to work with
  • Are building a menagerie of classic D&D creatures for their collection

Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the lower passages of a collapsed drow watchtower, following the trail of a missing scouting party. They find the scouts' equipment — neatly stacked, untouched — but no bodies. Then, from three separate tunnels simultaneously, they hear claws on stone.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin work, minor surface marks are occasionally possible and can be cleaned up easily prior to priming.
