The Qalupalik is a creature drawn from Inuit legend: a hollow-eyed predator that dwells beneath frozen surfaces, luring children and the careless to their doom. This sculpt by Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures that wrongness with unsettling precision — the hunched torso wrapped in matted fur, the body caught mid-stalk in a forward-leaning crouch, bird-talon feet gripping the ground while elongated fingers hang loose and ready. Her long, straight hair cascades over her downward-tilted face, obscuring eyes that see everything. This is not a demon summoned from the Abyss — this is something older, stranger, and far closer to the waterline.
At 35mm, she stands slightly taller than a standard 32mm miniature, giving her a presence at the table that matches her threat on paper. She works equally well as a horror encounter in an arctic or coastal campaign and as a display piece for collectors drawn to folklore-inspired creature sculpts.
For adventurers who:
- Run horror-tinged campaigns in arctic, coastal, or wilderness settings
- Want a folklore-rooted monster that feels genuinely distinct from standard D&D creature types
- Are building an encounter around a creature that stalks, ambushes, and terrifies rather than simply brawls
- Collect display-worthy creature miniatures with strong narrative identity
Encounter Hook:
The fishing village has lost three children in a fortnight — always near the frozen lake at dusk, always without a sound. Tonight, the party agrees to keep watch. By midnight, the ice has begun to crack from beneath, and something with too-long fingers is already pulling itself upright at the far shore.

What's included:
This miniature is printed at 35mm scale. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail miniatures, minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be cleaned up easily. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready to prime and paint — or use straight from the box.
