The Pursuer of the Curse is a wandering martial artist cut from the cloth of Eastern fantasy archetypes: disciplined, purposeful, and haunted by something she hasn't yet caught. Sculpted with striking detail, she stands in a confident, combat-ready pose atop a stone bridge base — conical straw hat tilted just so, a heavy bo staff gripped in one hand, and a small lantern and packed bundle hanging at her hip. The emblem on her chest wrap speaks to a lost order or forgotten temple, while her wrapped sandals and layered sash suggest a pilgrim as much as a fighter. The back of the sculpt is equally considered, showing her travel pack and the weight of the road she carries.

For Dungeon Masters, she works as a mysterious quest-giver who arrives at the party's inn with rain-soaked robes and a price on her head. For players, she's a compelling canvas for a Way of the Open Hand monk, a Ki monk seeking redemption, or a wandering avenger whose backstory practically writes itself. Equally rewarding as a display piece for collectors drawn to Eastern-inspired fantasy sculpts.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Play a monk, fighter, or wandering martial arts character
  • Want a memorable rival, mentor NPC, or enigmatic quest-giver
  • Are building an Eastern-inspired or Kara-Tur-adjacent campaign setting
  • Collect finely detailed display-quality miniatures

Encounter Hook:
The party finds her kneeling at the centre of a stone bridge, surrounded by three unconscious bodies — bounty hunters, by the look of their gear. She doesn't look up. "You'll want to decide," she says quietly, "whether you're the fourth, or the ones who help me reach the temple before dawn."
