The Pterafolk is one of those creatures that reminds adventurers just how hostile a truly wild world can be. Part pterosaur, part humanoid, entirely predatory — this sculpt by Epic Miniatures captures the creature mid-stalk, wings spread wide in a dominant display, jaws agape to reveal rows of sharp, interlocking teeth. The musculature is heavy and convincing: thick shoulders, powerful haunches, and the kind of clawed hands that suggest something equally comfortable grappling prey as it is snatching it from the air.

The wing membranes are richly textured — fine veining runs across the stretched skin between elongated finger-bones, giving painters plenty of surface to work with. Leathery midtones, deeper shadows pooling in the membrane folds, and sharp highlights along the leading edge bones would all read beautifully here. The skin across the body and limbs has its own subtle texture, distinct from the wings, which rewards careful drybrushing or layering.
