Orthis is a Psionic Master from DM Stash's Aberrant Ascension collection — a figure who commands attention before a single die is rolled. Clad in ornately engraved plate armour layered over flowing robes, he strides forward mid-pace with one hand raised, fingers splayed as psionic energy coils around them. His long hair falls loose, his expression is controlled and coldly focused, and every detail of his sculpt — from the interlocking armour panels to the embossed sash at his waist — communicates someone who has transcended ordinary arcane practice entirely. This is a mind given form.
The sculpt ships with a detailed staircase diorama base, complete with crumbling stone balustrades and creeping vines — an evocative ruin that places Orthis exactly where he belongs: descending into someone else's world with absolute authority. Whether you're running him as a reclusive psionic scholar, a ruthless arcane supremacist, or a player character Sorcerer or Warlock who's walked too far down the path of mental discipline, Orthis carries genuine narrative weight. Equally at home on a gaming table or displayed on a shelf, he rewards careful painting — the armour's geometric engravings and the billowing coat offer a wealth of surface to work with.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a high-intelligence villain, arcane rival, or faction leader with real visual presence
- Are playing a psionic Sorcerer, Warlock, or Aberrant Mind subclass character
- Want a centrepiece NPC whose appearance alone tells the party something is wrong
- Collect display miniatures from independent sculptors with strong character design
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the ruins of the Veilspire Observatory to find the upper chambers already occupied. Orthis stands on the staircase, one hand raised — not in greeting, but in the precise gesture that precedes a mass psychic hold. He tells them calmly that they have three choices, and that two of those choices end the same way. He hasn't moved. He doesn't need to.
