This is pose 5 of the Psionic Goblin range by The Toadstool Weaver, and it captures something most goblin miniatures simply don't: genuine menace without a single weapon in hand. The figure crouches low in a wide, dynamic stance — barefoot, robed at the waist, with both arms thrust outward in a channelling pose that speaks of telekinetic force about to be unleashed. The goblin's face is tightly focused, teeth set, eyes narrowed with cold concentration. Rope-like wrappings coil around the wrists, and its hair is pulled up in a topknot. This is not the cackling coward of low-level encounters. This is something stranger, and considerably more dangerous.

Whether you're running a psionic aberration cult, a goblin tribe with an inexplicable and terrifying advantage over better-armed parties, or a lone mind-bending ambusher lurking in the tunnels beneath a city, this sculpt earns its place on the table. Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a string of merchant wagons found overturned and emptied on the trade road — no tracks, no struggle, just goods scattered as if hurled by an invisible force. The culprit is a psionic goblin operating alone, using telekinesis to strip caravans from a distance before vanishing into the undergrowth. When the party finally corners it, they realise with dawning unease that it has been watching them since they left town.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale, this mini is well suited to both gaming and display collecting. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks may occasionally occur; these are easily tidied up before priming.
