This is the third sculpt in the Psionic Goblin range, and it brings a genuinely unsettling energy to the table. Crouched in a wide, grounded combat stance, this goblin holds two levitating orbs — one raised overhead, one thrust outward — with the focused intensity of a creature that has unlocked something it absolutely should not have. The lean musculature, wrapped bracers, studded belt, and layered loincloth cloth all speak to a fighter who has outgrown the rabble but not the instincts. The expression is the real centrepiece: sharp-eyed, calculating, and faintly smug — this goblin knows exactly what it's doing.
For Dungeon Masters, the Psionic Goblin range opens up a whole different kind of goblin encounter — not the chaotic rabble of a standard ambush, but a coordinated, psychically-enhanced strike force. This pose, in particular, reads as the battlefield controller: pinning targets in place, hurling debris, and directing chaos from the centre of the fray. Equally at home on a display shelf as a collector's conversation piece.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Want goblin encounters with a psionic or aberrant twist
- Are running campaigns where goblinoid factions have evolved beyond simple raiding
- Need a standout centrepiece enemy within a larger goblin warband
- Collect characterful humanoid miniatures for painting and display
Encounter Hook:
The party's rogue spots the goblin first — alone, kneeling in the clearing, two stones orbiting it slowly. Before anyone can act, the stones are the size of boulders, and the trees around them are beginning to splinter.
