Varys Farseeker is a Psionic Dark Inquisitor from DM Stash's Baldurian Inquisition range — a figure who embodies the terrifying intersection of rigid religious authority and unbound mental power. Blindfolded and armoured in intricately detailed scale and lamellar plate, his raised hand is mid-gesture, fingers spread as though probing your party's thoughts before they've had a chance to lie. His long, ornately bordered cloak sweeps dramatically behind him, the reverse richly embossed with inquisitorial symbols, and his rubble-strewn base is scattered with broken stonework and shattered tomes — remnants of those who resisted and failed.
The sculpt rewards patient painters: the layered armour, laced front panel, engraved pauldrons, and flowing cape offer distinct textures across every surface. Whether you're fielding him as a fearsome NPC interrogator or building a psionic monk or warlock player character with a morally complex past, this miniature carries serious presence at 32mm scale.
A compelling choice for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable villain or morally ambiguous authority figure for a faith-based or psionic campaign arc
- Are building a psionic monk, warlock, or rogue player character with an inquisitor's bearing
- Want a display piece that rewards careful layering on ornate armour, textured cloth, and a detailed scenic base
- Are running a city-based intrigue campaign where a blindfolded mind-reader is exactly the kind of threat that keeps players on edge
Encounter Hook:
The party has been summoned before the Inquisition on charges they cannot disprove — because Varys Farseeker has already walked through their memories. He greets them by name, references a secret each of them thought buried, and calmly informs them that cooperation is not optional. He hasn't drawn a weapon. He doesn't need to.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and scenic rubble base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — note that the figure interacts naturally with the base, so painting both before assembly is recommended. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or display as cast. Equally suited to tabletop gaming and display collecting.
