The pseudodragon is one of the most characterful creatures in the D&D bestiary — a tiny dragon with all the attitude of an ancient wyrm and none of the patience for being ignored. This sculpt by MZ4250 captures that spirit with conviction: the first pose shows the pseudodragon in a full wing-spread stance, clawed feet braced and serrated tail curled behind it, head raised with jaws slightly parted — every inch the imperious little creature that it is. The second variation brings the same creature low, crouched and watchful on a decorative geometric base, wings half-furled as though it has just landed and is deciding whether you are a threat or merely an inconvenience.
Two poses are available as separate listings, each at the same price — choose the wing-spread sculpt for action-forward scenes, or the crouching sculpt for something with a bit more menace on the display shelf or encounter map.
Whether you're building out a familiar for your party's warlock or wizard, populating a Feywild grove with its draconic denizens, or simply want a small dragon with enormous personality as a painting project, this sculpt delivers the detail to reward careful brushwork — the scaled hide, ribbed wings, and expressive posture all hold paint beautifully once primed.
- Warlocks and wizards seeking a miniature to represent their pseudodragon familiar
- Dungeon Masters wanting a memorable, scaled-down dragon encounter for lower-level parties
- Painters who love fine scale-texture work on a manageable-sized subject
- Collectors building a display of draconic creatures great and small
Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen gemstone from a reclusive scholar's tower. When they finally breach the study, they find the gem — clutched in the tail of a hissing pseudodragon perched atop a bookshelf, who has no intention of surrendering it, and whose scholarly owner has left very explicit instructions that it is not to be disturbed.
