Provisions Wagon by Great Grimoire
Description
The wagon creaks to a halt at the crossroads, its horse skittish and the canvas-covered cargo suspiciously still — someone, or something, is hiding amongst the provisions.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This Provisions Wagon from the Great Grimoire's Great Folks II collection is a richly detailed piece of scatter terrain that brings an immediate sense of lived-in realism to any tabletop scene. Two distinct variants are included in this listing: one showing the wagon bed piled with sacks, clay jugs, and draped cargo — all the hallmarks of a merchant in transit — and a second carrying a neat stack of planks and timber, suggesting a builder's supply run or hastily loaded trade goods. The draught horse is sculpted with real presence, its musculature and harness straps rendered with the kind of detail that rewards careful painting.
Whether you're dressing a market-town encounter, setting the stage for a roadside ambush, or constructing a diorama of a travelling caravan, this wagon earns its place on the table. It's equally at home as a centrepiece in a display collection, where the texture of the wood grain and the weight of the loaded cargo really come into their own.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need scatter terrain to populate roads, town squares, and wilderness trade routes
- Want to set up an encounter with environmental storytelling built right in
- Are building a diorama or display scene featuring a merchant or caravan theme
- Enjoy painting detailed vehicles and animals as part of their hobby projects
Encounter Hook:
The party is tasked with intercepting a shipment of illegal alchemical components being smuggled through the duchy disguised as timber. The wagon — identical to a dozen others on the King's Road — is somewhere in a convoy of six. Three of those wagons belong to innocent merchants who will not appreciate being searched. One belongs to a very nervous fence who has hidden his cargo under a false floor. The party has twenty minutes before the convoy reaches the city gates.
This piece is scaled to 35mm. If you'd prefer it at 32mm, just drop us a message and we'll adjust the print to suit. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note with your order indicating which of the three base styles you'd like. The base arrives separate and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or to use straight from the box.
