Orstina of Havenmond is no cloistered academic. The Professor of Transference carries the marks of hard-won arcane mastery across every inch of her armour — intricate Celtic knotwork etched into layered leather and plate, prayer beads wound around her wrists, and a great carved flanged shield slung at her back. She stands triumphant upon the broken body of some vanquished creature, its monstrous claws still curled beneath her boots. Raised high in one hand is her staff, crowned with a grotesque skull-like focus wreathed in coiling energy — the instrument of her transference workings. Her long hair streams behind her as though caught in the wake of a spell already cast.
The sculpt is rich with storytelling detail: she reads as someone who has crossed the boundary between the academic and the dangerous, a woman who has not merely studied the arcane but bent it entirely to her will. Whether you place her on the table as a powerful NPC professor-turned-antagonist, a charismatic quest-giver with a hidden agenda, or a high-level Wizard or Sorcerer player character, she commands attention on any board.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Want a high-level arcane caster with unmistakable authority and presence
- Are building a Wizard, Sorcerer, or Warlock with an academic or scholarly background
- Need an NPC with the gravitas of a faction leader, arcane college dean, or rival mentor
- Are collectors drawn to richly detailed, narrative-driven fantasy sculpts
Encounter Hook:
The party is summoned before the Conclave of Havenmond to answer for their interference with a sealed ward. Orstina presides — calm, unhurried, her staff resting in one hand and a skull-focus balanced in the other. She doesn't accuse them outright. She simply asks one question: "Who told you the vault was empty?" The silence that follows tells her everything she needs to know.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and its decorative base are provided as separate pieces and can be fixed with a small amount of super glue — note that the sculpt interacts with the base in a way that makes the two well worth displaying together. This miniature is supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
