Frederik Vahlen — Professor of Progress, scholar of the Arcane University — stands revealed in his Ascended Form, and the sight of him defies easy description. From the waist down, his body has been entirely consumed by a writhing mass of thick, gnarled tentacles that coil across the base in every direction, their textured surface rich with biological detail. Above this churning horror, the professor himself remains — coat billowing dramatically behind him, belt and academic fastenings still in place — as though the man simply refuses to acknowledge what he has become.

In one hand he raises an ornate arcane staff, its twisted shaft spiralling upward to a crescent-bladed finial cradling a glowing orb — a symbol of authority he has carried long past the point where authority meant anything. His other arm is raised and outstretched, fingers spread wide, channelling energies no sane university curriculum would permit. His face carries the calm certainty of a man who believes, utterly, that he is right — which is perhaps the most frightening detail of all.

The sculpt is packed with surface interest: the rippling folds of his weathered coat, the knotted rope-like texture of the tentacles, the fine detail on the staff's head, and the dramatic sweep of his cloak caught mid-motion. As a centrepiece BBEG for an academic horror campaign, an eldritch corruption arc, or a Ravenloft-adjacent storyline, Vahlen commands the table the moment he hits the board.
