This Gothic privacy screen is a beautifully realised piece of scatter terrain that earns its place in any high-society interior, merchant's quarters, or richly appointed tavern backroom. Four articulated panels rise to pointed Gothic arches, each face layered with woven basketwork textures, scrolling acanthus relief work, and heraldic rosettes — the kind of furnishing that says old money and older secrets. Paired with an open jewellery or trinket chest spilling over with bundled cloth and ribbons, this set tells a story before a single die is rolled.
Whether your campaign leans into political intrigue, heist planning, or the theatrical opulence of a vampire's manor, this piece brings immediate atmosphere. On the tabletop it functions as line-of-sight blocking terrain and a natural focal point. Off the table it holds its own as a display piece — the level of ornamental detail rewards a careful painter.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run encounters in noble estates, guildhalls, high-end taverns, or Ravenloft-style gothic interiors
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as a narrative prop — the screen hides something, always
- Are building a diorama or display scene with a baroque or gothic aesthetic
- Enjoy painting fine relief detail: foliage, scrollwork, and fabric folds
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to steal a ledger from a merchant lord's private salon. The document is somewhere behind the four-panel screen — but the lord's personal bodyguard is dressing on the other side of it, and one misplaced footstep will end the negotiation permanently.
This set is scaled to 32mm and includes the four-panel folding privacy screen and the open chest scatter piece. The screen arrives as a single assembled piece. The chest is a compact secondary prop that pairs naturally with the screen for dressed interior scenes. Both pieces are ready for priming and painting straight from the box, though they read clearly unpainted on the tabletop too.
