Prisoner Cage w/Skeleton by Mia Kay M3DM
Description

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This is not the skeleton of someone long dead. Look closer. The figure slumped inside the hanging wooden cage is still breathing — boots dangling through the bars, arms limp, head lolling in a silent howl of desperation. The gallows itself is a heavy timber structure hung with thick iron chains, and at its base lie scattered skulls and broken stone: a quiet reminder of what happens to those who linger too long in this cage. It is a piece of scenery that tells a whole story without a single word of narration from the DM.
Whether placed at the entrance to a bandit camp, in the town square of a corrupt settlement, or dangling from the rafters of a warlord's great hall, this scatter piece immediately communicates danger, cruelty, and the kind of morally complicated world where the party might feel compelled to intervene — or to walk on by. The sculpt captures remarkable detail in the wooden cage slats, the hanging chains, and the wretched figure within, making it as compelling a display piece as it is a functional terrain prop.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want scatter terrain that generates instant narrative atmosphere
- Are building bandit camps, corrupt towns, or tyrant's strongholds for their campaign
- Run dark fantasy, Ravenloft, or gritty low-magic settings where consequences feel real
- Collect characterful display pieces that double as table props
Encounter Hook:
As the party rounds the corner into the village square, they hear it before they see it — a rasping, hollow voice from the cage overhead, begging them not to go inside the tavern. The innkeeper, polishing glasses behind the bar, smiles at them and says: "Pay no mind to that. He's been saying that for three days."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model comes with a detailed scenic base featuring skulls and broken ground. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use it unpainted — the raw sculpt holds up beautifully on the table as-is. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor surface marks may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before painting.
