This is the second variant in our Primitive Tent scatter terrain range, and it brings a noticeably different silhouette to the tabletop. Where Tent 01 leans into a single pointed peak, this piece sprawls low and wide — multiple hide panels stitched together with crude cross-stitch seams, bound by twisted rope guy-lines and held up by rough wooden poles. Skulls adorn each of the tent's spike-topped peaks, and the hides themselves billow and drape with convincing weight, their ragged edges suggesting years of hard use on some forsaken frontier. It's the kind of structure that belongs in an orc warband's forward camp, a gnoll hunting ground, or a barbarian tribe's temporary settlement deep in the wilds.
For Dungeon Masters, this piece earns its place on the table. It reads instantly as dangerous territory — a location with occupants who don't much care for guests. Paired with a fire pit, weapon racks, or other camp scatter, it anchors an entire encounter location. For collectors and painters, the sculpt rewards a careful hand: the stitched seams, rope texture, and skull details all hold paint beautifully and offer plenty of depth for washes and dry-brushing.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Are building orc, goblin, gnoll, or barbarian tribal camp encounters
- Want scatter terrain that tells a story before a single die is rolled
- Are constructing wilderness, borderland, or savage frontier battle maps
- Enjoy painting detailed terrain pieces for dioramas or display
Encounter Hook:
The party crests the ridge to find a cluster of these hides strung between the pines — three tents, all low and dark, with something moving inside the largest one. A guttural voice calls out in Orc. They haven't been spotted yet, but the skulls on the ridge-poles are fresh, and one of them is wearing a familiar signet ring.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Print quality is high detail; supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks inherent to the process may occasionally occur and are straightforward to clean up. Ready to prime and paint, or use straight from the box.
