Description

At the edge of the mangrove, the hut stands raised on thick timber stilts — ropes lashed tight, thatching drawn low, and something moving in the shadows beneath the floor.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This is the second variation in our Primitive Hut range from Novaminis, and it cuts a distinctly different silhouette from the first. Where other scatter terrain sits flat and forgettable on the board, this raised stilt structure commands attention — bundled bamboo walls, a thick domed thatching overhead, and cross-braced timber legs holding the whole thing clear of whatever lurks below. The arched doorway faces forward, open and dark, suggesting occupation. Whether it's a grung shaman's perch above a fetid swamp, a lizardfolk sentinel post at the edge of a river crossing, or a druidic waystation deep in the jungle canopy, the story writes itself the moment it hits the table.

Pair it with Primitive Hut 01 to build out a full tribal settlement — the multi-hut render in the gallery shows exactly how well these pieces cluster together. As a standalone piece it draws the eye; as part of a village scene it becomes the anchor of an encounter your players won't forget. Equally at home as a display piece or centrepiece diorama for collectors who appreciate the craft in a well-sculpted architectural terrain piece.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are building jungle, swamp, coastal, or tribal wilderness encounters
  • Want scatter terrain that doubles as meaningful cover on a battle map
  • Are running campaigns featuring grung, lizardfolk, yuan-ti, or tribal humanoid factions
  • Collect display-quality terrain alongside their miniature ranges
  • Are pairing multiple primitive huts to build a full settlement scene

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with retrieving a captive from a lizardfolk encampment — but when they arrive, the village is eerily quiet. Every hut stands empty except one: the raised structure at the camp's centre, its doorway dark, a faint rhythmic chanting drifting down from the floor above. Something is up there. Something knows they've come.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Printed without supports still attached; as with all high-detail terrain pieces, occasional minor surface marks may occur during the print process and are easily tidied up before painting. Ready to prime and paint straight away, or use as-is for unpainted gameplay.
