This is the first piece in the Primitive Grave scatter terrain range by Novaminis. Formed from a tight cluster of rounded, weathered river stones, it depicts the kind of makeshift burial that speaks of hard choices made far from civilisation — a warrior laid to rest on a battlefield, a villager buried before the plague took the gravedigger too, or something older still, interred long before the town grew up around it. The sculpt captures the organic irregularity of hand-gathered stones, with each rock bearing its own surface texture and subtle variation in size.

This is variation 01 of the Primitive Grave range — a compact, roughly oval cairn suited to open wilderness, ruined settlements, or the outskirts of a cursed graveyard. Its low profile makes it versatile across a wide range of table layouts, and it pairs naturally with the other pieces in the range to build out a full burial ground scene. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf diorama.

Encounter Hook:
The party's tracker notices the stone cairn at the edge of the clearing — recent, the moss hasn't taken hold yet. Beneath the topmost stone, someone has pressed a folded scrap of parchment. The name written on it belongs to a man the party met three days ago. He was alive then. He told them he was travelling alone.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready to prime; the detailed stonework takes drybrushing and washes particularly well. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface variations may occur and can be tidied up before painting.
