This is the Primitive Gibbet 01, a piece of scatter terrain that tells a story before a single dice is rolled. Lashed together from gnarled timber, rope-bound at the joints and crowned with a carved bull skull, the gibbet's angled arm suspends a crude spiked cage on heavy iron chain. Skulls litter the base. Whatever this structure is for, it is not justice — it is a warning. The detail work throughout is exceptional: rope wrapping, wood grain texture, spiked cage bars, and a chain with real weight to it all read beautifully from across the table.
This is Variant 01 of the Primitive Gibbet range. Whether you're building a tribal orc encampment, a barbaric frontier settlement, or the outskirts of a Ravenloft domain, this piece brings an immediate atmosphere of dread to any encounter zone. Equally at home in a painted display diorama as it is on a battle map, it rewards collectors and Dungeon Masters alike.

Encounter Hook:
The party reaches the boundary of the Thornback Tribe's territory just as dusk falls. Three gibbets line the road ahead, two already occupied. The third cage swings open — freshly emptied. Someone, or something, has been released. Roll for Perception.
Scaled to 32mm. If you require a different scale, please get in touch. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use as-is for an unpainted resin aesthetic. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all printed terrain, minor surface marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
