Barnibus Blastwind is not the kind of priest who thunders from pulpits. He is the kind who waits. Robed in voluminous ceremonial vestments with sweeping wide sleeves, he leans upon a gnarled walking cane with both hands folded over the top — patient, watchful, and entirely in command of every room he enters. A heavy braided chain bears an engraved holy medallion at his chest, and a pair of round spectacles sit perched on his nose above a full, neatly kept beard. At his hip, a worn satchel suggests a man who travels more than his measured posture implies.
Whether he's the kindly mentor who gives the party their first real quest, the quietly sinister ecclesiast pulling strings behind a corrupt temple, or a beloved local figure whose murder sets the whole campaign in motion — Barnibus brings the kind of layered presence that makes NPCs memorable. His sculpt captures that particular brand of clerical authority: utterly still, deeply unhurried, and almost certainly knowing more than he lets on.
A fine addition for adventurers who:
- Need a high-quality named NPC cleric or temple official for their campaign
- Are running a religious faction, corrupt church, or political intrigue arc
- Want a distinctive quest-giver who reads as immediately trustworthy — or dangerously so
- Collect character miniatures with strong personality and narrative presence
- Are looking for a display piece that rewards close attention to detail
Encounter Hook:
The party is summoned before the Grand Tribunal to testify in a heresy case — only to find Barnibus Blastwind presiding, spectacles glinting in the candlelight. They have met him before. He was the one who hired them to retrieve the very artefact now being used as evidence against the accused. He folds his hands over his cane and greets them with a warm smile. He does not look worried. That is the most worrying thing about him.
