The Powered Construct strides forward with the unstoppable momentum of something built rather than born. Clad in segmented plate armour fitted with rivets, chainmail skirting, and mechanical joints, this creation carries a massive engineered greatsword in one gauntleted fist and extends a clockwork claw with the other — probing, testing, ready. At the centre of its broad chest, a circular housing of interlocking cog-like plates frames a churning arcane core: that glowing, swirling orb of orange energy that powers everything. It is the heart of the machine, and it does not stop.
This is a construct built for confrontation — equally at home as a rogue artificer's bodyguard, an ancient forge-guardian awakened in the wrong century, or a powerful warforged-adjacent player character stepping into a campaign that blends arcane and mechanical. The plume-crested helmet gives it the bearing of a knight, but nothing beneath that visor was ever alive. The rear view reveals further detail: belt pouches, mechanical arm apparatus, and a second shorter blade holstered at the back — a figure with layers that reward closer inspection on the painting table or the display shelf.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a construct guardian, dungeon sentinel, or arcane automaton for their encounters
- Are running artificer-themed campaigns, steampunk settings, or magitech adventures
- Want a warforged-inspired player character miniature with genuine presence
- Collect mechanically detailed sculpts for display or painting projects
Encounter Hook:
The party finds the Powered Construct standing motionless in the centre of a collapsed forge-city, sword raised mid-swing against an enemy that crumbled to dust three centuries ago. When the rogue steps onto the cracked flagstone floor, the arcane core flares orange — and it finishes the swing.
